The Enigma Code is a a movie that talks about how the enigma encryption code was decrypted to help on the Second World War. This is what is considered to be the beginning of computers and Alan Turing is the father of Computer Science. Now the two most interesting part about the movie and well especially for me is the part of encryption and the paper about the idea of thinking machines.  The first one I find it interesting because encryption is such a fundamental aspect of Computer Science in so many different areas. It is even relevant right now as the way the internet is implemented and the idea that everyone can see your messages but the important thing is that no one should be able to understand them. Unless you are the person who is intended to read it. Which it raises the question if Computer Science is highly linked to cryptography cause of its origins or was it because the problems we faced during the time saw cryptography as the best solution?
The second interesting thing is the idea of thinking machines or as the written paper called Computing Machinery and Intelligence. This is a subject that it was relevant before it's time, yet at this moment with the rise of AI and different technologies is becoming extremely relevant. So many ethical questions are coming into play to determine how much power should we give to computers.We are so focused on what we are able to achieve with this technology that we are not asking ourselves if the computers are able to think by themselves. If those computers that we thought to drive or do a certain task could be able to generate new ideas away from his area of expertise. This type of questions are important and the implications that can cause in the development of the technology is extremely relevant for it.

The trends for programming will always keep changing doesn't matter in which sector we are focused on. We have seen it through out the years on how different ways of programming have become more relevant in different periods of time. Now the reason for why a trend becomes popular could be for a number of reasons. This could be for development of better technology, easier understanding on the programming part of the development or even the demand of developers on certain language. In this case knowing that parallelism is going to become the next trend that programmers will need to learn. Almost all computers and processors have a dual core integrated to them. So is easy to see that people will try to improve their execution times of programs by using multiprocessors. I think this is becoming more relevant with a new way of computing. Quantum computing will cause a whole revolution on how we understand and solve computer problems. A major problem that will cause with this revolution

The Erlang programming language is an interesting approach to a solution for concurrent and parallel programming. It is interesting for so many different aspects and the first aspect would be that is a programming language that doesn't require the idea of sharing memory. This is a big change in paradigms , we have seen it in some old languages that the idea to share memory is a common one. Yet even if it is an old idea and a paradigm that is implemented in several languages , is hard to handle. It is true that we have certain objects that could help us to manage the memory and how different threads or programs can access shared resources.
